Experiential
Experiential learning is at the heart of cybersecurity education. Theory alone doesn't prepare you for real-world threats and challenges. Through internships, competitions, cyber range exercises, and hands-on labs, you'll develop the practical skills and problem-solving abilities that employers demand.
The Central Texas Cyber Hub connects students with meaningful opportunities to apply classroom knowledge in authentic cybersecurity environments, whether defending real systems, competing against peers, or working alongside industry professionals.
Baylor Competitive Cybersecurity Group
The Baylor Cybersecurity Group participates in a variety of collegiate offensive and defensive competitions. The team trains intensively during the academic year in our cybersecurity labs. Often, training is hosted in our dedicated, private cloud. Competition simulates real-world scenarios, encourages students to develop their skills, and then demonstrates their skill set and teamwork during competition. The Club meets weekly with professors to train in a laboratory setting.
The Club participates in a variety of competitions, including:
- Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) - SWCCDC
- National Cyber League (NCL)
- HiveStorm
- Recent accomplishments include advancing to SWCDC Regionals and NCL Power Rankings.
