Central Texas Cyber Hub Partner CTC Earns National IT Ranking and Opens New Cyber Range
Central Texas College (CTC), a partner in the Baylor-led Central Texas Cyber Hub, has been ranked No. 9 nationally by TechGuide for its Associate in Information Technology program. The ranking is based on federal IPEDS data. CTC's curriculum covers networking, cybersecurity, database management, and computer systems, with a focus on preparing students for careers in the field.
In the same week, CTC held a ribbon-cutting for its new cyber range. The lab lets students track live cyber threats and practice defending against them. Students helped build the range's servers themselves. CTC is also working on a partnership to offer cyber defense certificates to local high school students, which builds on the Cyber Hub's work to create K-12 pathways into cybersecurity careers across Central Texas.
